I bought the 'used' version and found it to fade etc. This primer isn't too heavy (ie thick) but it certainly makes a significant difference. Today's temperature is in the high 20s (F) with winds 10-20 mph.
The unlined M65 has very little wind resistance, which is where the lining really comes in handy. It's still not my warmest jacket, but for $16.99 it makes a very obvious and significant difference. It's worth it.
